????  COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS  ????

What does registration fees include?

The non refundable registration fee of $200 includes all sideling cheers, Stunting & tumbling 3-4 hours a week, Exhibition/Competition (New England Cheer and Dance (date TBD), along with all music & choreography for the comp.

Is there a parent information meeting

Yes Time and Place will be announced at a later date.

We realize everybody is busy with work, sports and other extra circular activities so at time of registration we decided to send an information email to all parents. It will go over rules and regulations and answer any questions you might have to make sure, as parents, you understand the commitment you are undertaking.  If there is something we missed or if you have any questions please discuss at parents meeting (TBA)

Board members wil be present at sign-up/registration day to answer all questions.

Who has to tryout?

We understand that tryouts CAN be stressful for both children and parents.  All girls/boys make  a squad without trying out. Cheerleading is a team sport and the number on each squad is limited. ALL teams may compete at the New England Cheer Competition depending on parent volunteer. We need parent advisors to help with practices, games and competition. A team cannot compete without parent advisors.

Do I need to register and give permission for my child participate?

YES. All girls/boys registering must register on the Bridgewater Badger Cheer website first.  NO ONE will be able to cheer without registering on the website (www.badgerscheer.com). Click on the register online tab and follow the prompts.

How do I know if my child makes a team?

Each child will make a team.

Are there Cheerleading Rules and Regulations?

YES.  Please review carefully as they will be strictly adhered to.  Last season we never had a full squad in attendance. Lack of participation held the girls back from competing.

Competition TBA

If my child makes a squad, what is next?

If your child makes a squad, the cost for registration is $200 All cheerleaders make a squad

How much is Apparel and when will I receive it?

Apparel fitting for Cheerleading attire (practice shirt, sneakers, bodysuit, wind suit, socks, pom-palms, etc) will be held on TBA. The cost is usually about $150-200 for first time cheerleaders. You keep all apparel you purchase and can reuse most items the following Cheer seasons. All your items will be delivered  6-8 weeks later. If you do not pay for your items in full we can not guarantee your delivery in time for first practice. In the past we have held our orders for parents who needed more time to pay. We are putting orders in immediately for all parents who pay week of fittings. This way clothing will arrive in a timely manner.

What is expected of me as a parent?

Parents are expected to provide transportation for their children to all practices and games and ensure the girls arrive on time and in proper attire.  In addition, parents should be aware that the cheerleading program is run by volunteers and self-funded.  Parents are expected to chaperone at least one of the cheerleading dances, and volunteer to work the apparel booth during one game.  Parents who do not wish to help with our fundraising efforts may make a one-time donation of $50 in lieu of helping out.  If you wish to do so, please include this donation along with your

registration fee during uniform fittings.

When do mandatory practices begin/end?

Practices begin the week of August 8th
